Now comes the foliage, and here you can improvise. For simple straight stems, crochet chains of chains and
crochet down to the km.

Bushy foliage is made like this: Sl st into the next st, ch 8, skip the first st, sl st back along this ch-chain. Ch 6, ch 4 back along this ch-chain. Ch 7, sl st back along this ch-chain, etc.

After the tip of the greenery, work a sl st down the stitches from the previous row and work more leaves. Secure with a sl st at the end, sl st in the next stitch of the carrot, and work 2 more whole leaves.

Stitch joy from nature. Whether mushrooms and ferns from the forest or animal holiday acquaintances from the deep sea: all of these natural objects can be crocheted at home. Sometimes humorous, sometimes confusingly similar, but always precisely observed and lovingly crafted, author Hanna Erhorn creates timeless depictions of plants and animals in her nature crochet projects. Simple crochet stitches transform into small wonders – inspired by nature's inexhaustible repertoire.
The effort is minimal; most projects only require a crochet hook and less than a ball of wool.
